At the dlc ("Digital Literacy Center") we enable people to understand the modern world, and help them to participate if they wish.
The dlc has created a "pantry" that contains modern technology items, learning processes, people, creativity initiatives, and time.
The DLC is a community-based not-for-profit initiative, and our first self-funded Pilot Project was launched in April 2021.
Established to specifically engage with the neurodiverse and provide a learning environment that allows them to learn the way THEY LEARN best, to build or rebuild their neuroplasticity, and develop employable digital technology capabilities and IT skills. With high levels of engagement and increased neuroplasticity demonstrated by the participants during the Pilot, the results have been extremely encouraging.
It is an ideal place for individuals who, through their neurodiversity (diagnosed or undiagnosed), have not effectively engaged with mainstream education, but who still express a desire to learn, create, help themselves, or help others and contribute to society.
We have recently expanded our "pantry" and are providing digital literacy training to other sectors such as "seniors", business startups, and creatives.
These are some of the things we help our learners with:
Our pantry includes (but is not limited to) the following:
